This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Scrappy, I hope it goes ok tomorrow.

I just finished writing out invitations for Owen's birthday party to hand out to his class. They're going on Spring Break next week so I had to get them out tomorrow.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

good health vibes to Bob, and I think someone else needed them? too tired to scroll back

You're a better mom than me. I have decided to just evite the desired guests just to make it easier on myself. Also? Egad, need to plan 5yo birthday party. He has very definite ideas about who to invite and what to do, too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don;t even know where to start finding a new cool sushi restaurant.

Recommendations? Scandalous vicarious experiences much recommended.

“Not dead yet!”

And in tonight's ::headdesk:: moment, this was brought to my attention:

Children's:
Young Adult
Walter Dean Myers's CARMEN, a retelling of the Bizet opera set in Spanish Harlem in which a teen with a fiery temper wants the one boy she can't have, with deadly consequences, to Regina Griffin at Egmont, by Miriam Altshuler of Miriam Altshuler Literary Agency.

I'm either a trendsetter or utterly fucked.

I'm going to go with trendsetter.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, sheesh, Barb. Yeah, let's work with trendsetter. Hmph other people. You are not as good as our barb!

Today I was driving down the highway, reflectively, as one does. And suddenly all the cars I was seeing were like little nailpolish swatches. Seriously, y'all, lots of car colors are great polish colors.

Randomly, I blame Plei. But it's pretty much all y'all.

ION we picked up the new intern/partner/housemate and he's a good traveling companion so far. And it turns out he likes hockey, which we did not know because we've always talked music when we hung out before. So that's a check in the win column already.

I am up too late now, because I am two time zones over already! But zonkered from the road, so I should pass out soonish. Hotel waffles tomorrow!

The status is NOT quo.

Brain! Shut up and let me sleep! Seriously, dude.

Swouncing

Stealing a moment in between all the mess (Pessakh! Oh, I wish I had time to rant about Pessakh. But no, shabbat is soon and it demands its own attention), because I won't have any computer time tomorrow (see above, re: shabbat), and according to Allyson "Sunnydale Press" Mar 28, 2007 6:37:24 am PDT Saturday, the 27th, will be Noah and Grace's birthday, and I don't care how much mess there is around here, I can't not send them at least early wishes, for both of them together and for each of them apart, and of course, to all their family, as well.

Also, sincere apologies to Raq and Kathy A, since I was computerless on the proper day and missed wishing them a happy birthday on time - belated wishes for the both of them, of course!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hello darling Nilly!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

You are both better moms than me. No party for mac this year. We will probably end up inviting one or two boys to go to a movie or something and I will either make or buy cupcakes to have with the babysitters for birthday week, but no f'in party. Also? no wrapped presents from me or grandparents.

also? also? I am TIred. oh my gravy. I do think it was worth it though, the place looks servicable and I did get another load to the storage unit this morning. Cleaner comes today and then I will make the mad rush tonight to get as much more as possible shoved into drawers or into storage. The $25 I spent on potted and cut flowers last night was totally worth it, really makes the rooms look better.

I am a HUGE believer in the power of flowers to make a room look better instantly.

Since we did a party here for Liv in February, we have to do one for Owen. There are no plans per se yet but it's two hours. I can handle a dozen six year olds for two hours, right? RIGHT?

I need to reset our pin code for pay per view movies. Owen figured it out and just bought another on-demand movie. Astro Boy this time. *sigh* I don't know how he figured out the code.
