This is my boat. They're part of my crew. No one's getting left. Best you get used to that.

I always travel with copies of the kids' birth certificates, just in case. Especially since I have a different last name from the kids. Nobody has ever asked to see them, but by about 4 the security screeners started asking Casper her name and checking the ticket.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

(Note that I'm only talking about proposal budgets, not actual expense budgets.)

Ditto.

Once upon a time, when my sister and I were going to a funeral in Canada, and her son was about 9 months old, the airline wouldn't let her board with him without a note from his father. It was outrageous. (And we forged a note.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Dear dawg, Sparky, that baby is gorgeous. And such a cute little babbler. I forgot how much I adore the babbling stage. Such cute little noises.

I mean sure, now that they are bigger I get to hear "I love you so much," but I also get an earful of "No mommy, you are NOT the boss. I am the boss and your choice is to do ONLY what I SAY."

Also? Spent the morning feeding and watering the roses. It felt right.

That house is cute, Sophia. I've always liked that green/white color combo for bathrooms.

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, I immediately fell in love with K upon meeting. And I got to hold her!!! Sparky and DH made an adorable little human, oh yes they did.

I am still riled up from my meeting this morning. I'm pretty sure I'm semi-overreacting due to hormones, but a coworker did call me up after to say WTF at length.

"Why the face?" (only Modern Family watchers will get this)

The doctor I saw in London on Sunday said I have a 50% chance of permanent hearing loss in my right ear due to this infection that just won't die. I am trying desperately to see an actual ENT here and I haven't heard back from the three offices I've called. Sigh.

Do Owen and Olivia need I.D. to fly?

I just took CJ to the airport on Monday. He is 13 and they never asked for his ID or even asked his name.

What really surprised me was that when I asked for a gate pass to take him through security, they only asked for my ID, not his ticket or any other proof that I needed to go past security. I hope it is as easy when I go to pick him up tomorrow.

Thanks, everyone!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've had airport security ask for Dylan's ID while I was carrying him in a sling. (Fortunately he has a passport, which we always carry when we travel, but still - ridic.)
