Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Lots of ~ma for Bob and lisah!

I had a fantastic mango lassi in Portland, OR that was notable for being not very sweet. Mmm.

Why oh why aren't hair cutters open on Sundays??

We were just bemoaning that on Sunday - DH drove all over the county looking for a barber. Full disclosure, I am in the boonies.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I can't decide if I'm willing to try the place my mother, grandmother, and aunt all go. At least it's cheap!

Coding and Sleeping

I've started cutting Leif's hair. It saves money and a trip to hair cutting place. The results seem fine for a basic boy haircut.

Not that I'm saying you should have your dad do your hair, Jesse.

Also, welcome home, Perkins! Are we still on for Sunday?

“Not dead yet!”

After listening to me grumble about the jackhammers, Lewis offered me his noise-cancelling Bose headphones. Initially, I refused, because I hate wearing headphones while trying to work-- all the sound coming right into my ears tends to really bug me unless I'm on an airplane, but I finally caved and put them on. I can still hear the jackhammers, but only just-- the music coming right into my ears is odd, but I think I can deal for at least a while.

I also just don't like the feeling of the headphones on my head/ears and feel like I'm being a total weakling because I can't tune the stupid jackhammers out.

::is baby::

Oh, but that reminds me to find out where my dad goes.

Man, I love to dither over things that don't matter.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Are we still on for Sunday?

Yes! I was going to send an email about that today.

Because books.

Don't weep, Frank. No one wants to live here, and not just because of the snow. The economy and unemployment rate is even worse than a lot of the country, the schools are HORRIBLE (all of Fulton's are on notice), and there's just nothing here. Half the stores in town are closed, literally. It's depressing to the nth degree.

Yay!

Eta: to Perkins, not Amy. I do not rejoice at bad schools or unemployment, really.
