Because books.

Absolutely, msbelle.

Sophia, those are great. So inexpensive compared to other markets.

“Not dead yet!”

Bob/Surgery ~ma, lisah!

On Day Five of workmen installing fiber-obtic cable in my neighborhood. I wish they and their noisy jackhammers would Go Away. Especially as I have a low-level migraine this morning.

“Not dead yet!”

Those houses are great, Sophia and the prices are unreal.

However, the taxes. *gasp* Crazycakes. The suburb's taxes are close to twice what we're paying.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

However, the taxes. *gasp* Crazycakes. The suburb's taxes are close to twice what we're paying.

That's NYS for you.

Because books.

That's the problem here in Oswego County, too, Barb. You can get a house for $75,000, but the taxes are insane. And if you ask me, you don't get much but reliable snow removal for your money.

I'll go back to chanting "I can't wait to get out of here" now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Why oh why aren't hair cutters open on Sundays??

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why oh why aren't hair cutters open on Sundays??

Because you live in the boonies? My magical new barber which is too far away, I still whine and maintain, is totes open on Sunday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Maybe my parents live in the boonies! But several places I've checked out near them are closed on Sundays, the only day of the week I'm reliably in their neighborhood.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

There's really nothing better than the (for me)Monday morning commute for filling you with loathing of the peoples, is there?

One thing I've learned from getting demos from vendors: there is a whole lot of business jargon out there that's just goofy. I thought our specific jargon was bad, but we have jargon to describe things very few other people need to describe. This is making up new words when there are perfectly acceptable common terms.
