Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh. This cafe I'm at serves breakfast until 2 PM.

So today I get Second Breakfast!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Cannot fucking BELIEVE people are forwarding their own agendas with this. Alas, this tag never closes.
I'll hold it open for you, because really, that's appalling. I remember having to hear Dallasites tell me that Katrina proved that poor people shouldn't get welfare and having to just walk away.

Which reminds me, because it came up with the Cowboys this year (a friend of mine who just really wasn't thinking) and at the NFC championship with Chicago (a few fans with more enthusiasm than brains). Trash talking is fine. I enjoy it myself. However, saying (insert sports franchise of your choice) will "finish what Katrina started" is not clever. Stop it.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

In completely light and fluffy news, my DH's blog has pictures of our dogs (and you can imagine me at the out-of-frame end of the leashes in each photo). Click through the photo gallery to see the beasts. [link]

brillig

Oh, the whole "well, there shouldn't be a city there anyway, it's below sea level" etc. And no one would accept my "Well, there shouldn't be cities on the Florida coastline anyway, they get hit with hurricanes and they just keep rebuilding" counter argument.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Aww, Doggies! I also LOVE the Honda Element. I have always hated big cars and SUVs, but one of the zipcars is an Element and it is my absolute favorite to drive. It is a great short person car.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm having sinus headache issues today--the whole front of my face around my nose just throbs.

Behind-the-counter 12-hour Sudafed. That's the only thing (taken with 4 ibuprofen) that ever gets rid of Vic the Ninja Sinus Demon.

Fucker.

Cute puppies! Liked the review too. I got a CRV from my mother-in-law which I love, but we would really benefit from a built in kennel.

Connie, the other thing is I bet what those people think of as NO (i.e. The Quarter) isn't below sea level.

Fox News: How To Exploit Haitian Crisis… Well, This Is A Start!

The Fox News headline is "Obama Moves to Grant Amnesty to Haitian Illegal Aliens".

Wonkette sez:

GRRR, BARACK OBAMA MAKEY SO ANGRY! Now let’s compare this Fox headline to a grown-up’s headline: “Obama halts deportations of undocumented Haitian immigrants, urged to grant ‘protected status.’” So what Obama is doing, at the urging of most rational, humane people, is halting Haitian deportations during a humanitarian crisis back in Haiti. It’s a fairly standard practice. UNLESS YOU’RE FOX! Wokka wokka! [

I'll be making a stop at Walgreens on the way home.

These damn sinuses have gotten worse as I've gotten older. I remember my sister and I feeling no sympathy for Dad when he had his sinus headaches when we were kids; we've apologized to him in the past few years because we now both get them as severely as he did.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I believe I shall try this too--behind the counter Claritin D and ibuprofen used to cut it but hasn't been lately.
