Homemade or takeout (and if so from where)?
Homemade! With New Orleans ingredients.
Hey, speaking of New Orleans ingredients, I brought back a jar of olive salad and was wondering if my fellow olive salad aficionados had any tips on good uses (besides muffelata of course).
msbelle, this might be a little young or girly for him, but you could check it out.
With regard to the healthcare bill- my boss and work nemisis are all angry because 'we are all screwed and will need to go get 2nd or 3rd jobs to pay for our healthcare now." This is stupid, right?
Barb, my writing weekend was pretty productive. Could have been more so, but it was helpful.
Today, however, one of the women I write copy for at Warner is getting on my last nerve, and I feel the need to spork her repeatedly.
Yes, Sophia, they are stupid. We are all going to have to get 2nd and 3rd jobs becuase the economy sucks.

Yes, it's hard enough to get a 1st job.

Not according to Andy Rooney on last night's 60 Minutes!!

They are very angry about the bill. I told them I was very happy, and work nemesis asked why, because I was going to get screwed too. I said I didn't think I was, and that even if I ended up paying more (which I doubt, but it is possible) I would be happy if it meant that people at the poverty level and their children could go to the doctor instead of the emergency room.
Of course, our problem here in upstate NY is that we have a HUGE shortage of primary care physicians. Our Med school graduating class only had one person going in to primary care last year, and there will be none this year. Because they feel that PCP's do not make enough money.
What exactly did Rooney say?
IcompletelyON, my mom got her bulldog yesterday! No pictures yet (although I called her an hour ago begging for some to be emailed this afternoon--I hope my brother gets right on it), but she's definitely making herself at home. Mom's trying to break her of the habit of jumping on the furniture, although she might be more lenient about the couch than her two brand-new leather chairs. She was a big hit at PetsMart this morning; everyone had to come over and pet her.
Oh, and according to my brother, who slept in the living room last night to keep her company while she was in her crate, she's a snorer (kept him awake for hours).
