Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That remains to be seen.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Mine was snuggled up next to me in bed last night and decided that my upper arm looked muy tasty and started to lunge for it with her teeth. That got her booted off the bed.

I bitched to my strongly partisan dog-person boss and she's been sending me meows via IM.

hip deep in pie

One of my cats is returning to one of her kitten habits: Curling up with me near my face, then contentedly farting away.

Got an (expected) invitation to and old friend's wedding in Santa Cruz in May. I want to go! I just don't want to have to spend any money or deal with transcontinental air travel.

Also, I want a pony.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

My (really bad) student worker did not show up for work today. Last week was Spring Break, so she wasn't here, but the week before she called in twice and just didn't show up once.

Do you think if I just ignore it, she will just never show up again (which is what I would like!) She is only hired until the first week of May, so I don't really want to fire her if I don't have to.

I sort of want to email her and ask her if she would like to quit.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Hmmm. Rumors currently running around are that the co-worker who was put on indefinite leave for looking at barebacking porn on the work computer (at a desk that patients walk past, no less) may actually be fired at some non-distant time. I'm sorely tempted to apply. It would be a biggish step up salary-wise, and I'm dead certain that there's not one thing he did on the job that I wouldn't be totally capable of doing. Except the porn.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

C'mon, JZ, I'm sure you're capable of looking at porn. Don't underestimate yourself!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm sorry, megan. And surprised, frankly.

I sort of want to email her and ask her if she would like to quit.

I think I like that, except that it might light a fire under her and get her just motivated to show up but not work any harder.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

megan, I'm sorry to hear that.

Sophia, fire her ass. Sometimes you shouldn't be avoidant.

JZ, apply. Also, avoid porn at work.
