Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

Trust my rage

If I ever have a Scarlett O'Hara moment, it will be, "As god is my witness, I'll never wear highwaters again."

I have never found knit pants that were long enough. If I buy "long" my ankles might stay warm.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Also socks! Socks should be sized better. I have an awesome pair of black smartwool calf socks. But the length of the foot part is too long, so the grey square for the heel shows outside of my shoes. It wouldn't be so noticeable except that everything else I have on is black.

I mean, wearing the black socks is supposed to be an improvement on my appearance from the all black with white socks standard look which seems to end up excessively Blues Brothers looking.

I love smartwool, though, I must say.

Bread & apple jelly:

I'm looking out my office window at Seabiscuit and he's leaning forlornly up against the kennel fence. He just had a visit from a free range doggie buddy of his, and now he's sighing over the injustice of it all that he's not free to go off romping with him.

Should I go get him and bring him in and feed us both?

A adore smartwool, though I wish they were more durable. When I'm rich I'll wear their tights and long underwear. They do have sized socks, though. Maybe you got the wrong size.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I just want sizes to be defined by measurements so I would always know if a size L will fit a 40" bust/33" waist.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Buying vintage on eBay was frustrating and satisfying at the same time. It was sad to see dresses I just had to ignore, but since I was going off of measurements not sizes, what I got fit like a dream.

In unrelated news, a librarian at Valdosta State is matching donations up to $10,000 to Partners in Health. A librarian . We don't exactly rank among the high grossers. [link]

This is possible. I have others from them that fit, so maybe this one is just wrong. It's very annoying, though, but doesn't stop me from wearing them. I just try to do it with boots. Agree that they could be more durable.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Tangentially related to clothing sizes, Monday was my first time back to the gym after over 3 1/2 weeks of being really sick (with a respiratory infection, there was no way I could work out). And yesterday was my second time back.

My hips are sore, and my shoulders are none too happy at me, either.

I don't know how to tell them we're going back tomorrow.
