The ampersand was in the alphabet? Cool.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
And if it was in the alphabet, it should still be there, right? We should launch an internet campaign to put it back. Or persuade someone else to, so we can watch.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Heh. I've never been below a size 12 since I was about 13 or so. I've been at an 18, and that was not a happy place.
I lost some weight last spring after my surgery, and felt great, but it's been creeping back up on me.
A size 12 would be perfect.
especially if their socks are too short and you get calf
I was very distracted by hairy calf in this morning's meeting. I do make sure my trouser socks go all the way up to my knees so I don't have any change in scenery.
I hate that! But my pants are always too long, generally, with the whole short thing. I just step on my hems. It results in a flattering frayed hem on all my pants.
However, I work with teenagers, so I kinda don't care. I'm more concerned about whether or not I have cargo pockets. But since I'm still buying guy pants, it's usually possible to find. (insert standard comment about how guy pants let you specify both girth and length. I know it doesn't work for all women's figures, I just wish we had that option in women's clothing.)
Also now I'm hungry.
I am supervising a 6 year old doing her homework. Sometimes she is great and focused and just does it. Tonight is not one of those nights.
Thank god for all those people who wear 3 inch heels and like their pants dragging on the ground, because it means that at least half of my pants are now long enough.
I hate those people. Before those people, I didn't have to seek out petite-length pants.
If I ever have a Scarlett O'Hara moment, it will be, "As god is my witness, I'll never wear highwaters again."
I have never found knit pants that were long enough. If I buy "long" my ankles might stay warm.
Also socks! Socks should be sized better. I have an awesome pair of black smartwool calf socks. But the length of the foot part is too long, so the grey square for the heel shows outside of my shoes. It wouldn't be so noticeable except that everything else I have on is black.
I mean, wearing the black socks is supposed to be an improvement on my appearance from the all black with white socks standard look which seems to end up excessively Blues Brothers looking.
I love smartwool, though, I must say.
Bread & apple jelly:
I'm looking out my office window at Seabiscuit and he's leaning forlornly up against the kennel fence. He just had a visit from a free range doggie buddy of his, and now he's sighing over the injustice of it all that he's not free to go off romping with him.
Should I go get him and bring him in and feed us both?
Y'all are cracking me up.
