Heh - it should come as no surprise to anyone that Auntie Beeb has no such rules. Our CFO used to keep a mini-fridge in his office stocked with beer, and would hand them out on Fridays if he felt we could use a drink. (This was before the recession eliminated our entertainment budget.)

When I started working here back in '92, the guy who was the head of the department had retired a few months before. So, I never worked with (met him a few times when he'd pop in for shareholder meetings), but boy, did I hear stories! Mostly about how, if you wanted to ask him something and you wanted him to remember you asking him, you made sure to do so before lunch. After lunch, he'd be more likely soused or at his desk sleeping it off.
