This is my boat. They're part of my crew. No one's getting left. Best you get used to that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Up too early, waahh. Have been killing time, don't appreciate it.

Me too. Woke up at 4:00. Hate that.

Always Anti-fascist!

Sad about Teddy Pendergrass. My mom is a huge fan.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

My parents and I don't have rules about it. But I called my mom the day before her birthday to let her know we got a box she had sent. I told her that I'd call back the next day, on her birthday and she said, "Don't bother just tell me happy birthday today." But then I pointed out that Noah wanted to sing for her on Skype and she wanted that. She likes talking to Noah more than me.

Sunday night is my usual talk to the parents deal. Carried over from when Sunday night was call the grandparents. But I'll call them if something else is up. Buying the house, well, for that I ended up talking pretty much daily.

Got here so damned early, and the thing is? I have a 4 pm meeting that WILL run long, so it's gonna be a long day. And that was after lying on the bed, giving the cats attention until even they got bored procrastinating.

Librarian Warlord

I talk to my parents every weekend, email during the week. My DH used to talk to his mother every day, and it used to drive me nuts because they didn't have enough new to talk about. After you'd told her some story about your day she'd say, "What else?" when there was nothing else.

Baby woke up at 4:44 a.m. today, didn't go back down, I have 4 classes to teach (2 mine and 2 for someone whose mother passed away suddenly) and I'll be here until almost 9 p.m. doing that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I kinda speak to my parents every week, email ad hoc. Speak to my sister more rarely, email and text more often.

Where has my morning appetite gone? I'm not hungry enough for breakfast at home most mornings, and that means buying a muffin at the last minute.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I speak with my mom 2 or 3 times a week, sometimes every day. It is less now that I don't have TV, because I used to call and we would watch Jeopardy together on the phone.

I don't consider us close, but maybe I should re-think that...

Dillo's dentistry went fine. He clammed up about drinking the sedative and I had to force him to take it with a syringe, but for them he was an angel and they got a LOT of work done (all of it) in one go. Now he's watching TV and poking his upper lip. He's not nearly as dopey as that kid on Youtube.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Playboy Energy Drink - Review

The first sentence of the third paragraph made me laugh:

After finally cracking it open, I must say that my favorite part of Playboy is still the articles. I got the regular version, not diet of course, and it's got an orange...ish taste to it. In fact, it's the first energy drink I've noticed needs to "breathe." Upon first opening it, it had a taste not unlike...well, you know if you've ever imbibed just the fizziest part of an orange fizzy drink? It was like that. Then it mellows out and eventually tastes like...an orange version of every other energy drink.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I speak to my parents a lot right now. We don't have a lot to say, just how the day went on both ends, weather, news - that type of stuff. I do think that when you are in more regular contact with someone that it builds on itself and you develop more stuff to talk about. If I only called once a month, like used to be more common, I wouldn't know where to start with them. Now I know about what is going on in my mom and dad's week (he's working the stock show and she is taking bridge classes) and can ask specific questions.
