You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Found a pic of the dress: [link]

This one they actually call the Zelda dress: [link]

I think the first day of springness has made me dress happy.

Oh, msbelle, I'm sorry. I hope you all can work something out to deal with this.

I am supposed to usher tonight and I just can't. Still too sick.

Any of the Bay-Area-Istas want to see a free play at the Berkeley Rep? It's getting great reviews!

“Not dead yet!”

Oh, I remember that one now!

I will confess to really liking this halter dress. Reminds me a bit of a dressier Trixie and perhaps with a nice stole, it could work.

And I'm having a serious unholy love for this dress. I just have to remind myself that a) I am not 5'9" and reed thin, nor can I wear heels to give the illusion that I'm taller.

(And I think the print negates the black background.)

That one's really lovely and I love that color. Unfortunately, it make me look like ass on toast.

Love that dress, even if it made me feel sort of naked.

That site is good at making me moun not being five nine.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Personal style is so interesting. Those dresses are so lovely, and yet there's not a one (maybe the halter neck) I can see myself ever being comfortable wearing. It's one thing if you don't like something, but the gap between "that is so gorgeous" and "I can see me wearing it" is an odd thing.

(I can see them on other people, sure. I remember that turqoise dress from before and it's perfectly Trudy. Not remotely Brenda.)

ETA: though that one skirt Barb linked is right up my alley. I don't have a good enough sense of Barb-style yet to know how close it is to hers. Though I loved the dress you ended up with at the last big event.

from that site would look fabulous on you.

msbelle, you have all my hugs tonight. I so get the room with only a mattress impulse. What you're doing is incredibly strong and loving and so, so difficult.

The parents on this board just all--well. Every single child born should have parents like you and Cash and Kat and Laura and the rest of you, each of you, all of you.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Y'all are linking to all of my favorite dresses on that site! I bought the paisley scarf dress, but haven't had the courage to wear it yet.
