Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Barb, this is my favorite place for not-everyone-else-has dresses: [link]

They have a wide range of goodies. Some more costume/con/ren faire things, some like this:

I also love Victorian Trading (though I haven't bought anything from them):

Something about garden party makes me feel all F. Scott and Zelda I guess.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That skirt totally pops. I think it's much better option than either dress so far.

Cass, not to get all up in her business, but she did try that. And leave it out there as a consequence of not handling the compromise.

aurelia, cool! Using his powers for evil.

Just watched War Stories. Wept again. God, Zoe. Zoe, Zoe, Zoe. That whole rescue sequence gets me. Zoe especially, but I love how everyone's written.

Cass - I think we are heading there or may have gotten there today. His therapist wants it gone, but does not think he can handle it right now and thinks me taking it away will cause too much of break between the two of us.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

That's what scribners did, right?

Scriveners, as in Bartleby.

The immediate issue is that I am SO FUCKING MAD. I told him to stay in his room until he was raedy to act like part of this family again, until then I did not want to see him. That was around 2:40.

And still, all I want to do is scream at him that he is a fucking nightmare and that the next time he hits me in the face he will get a room with a mattress only.

And see, that makes me cry.

Because books.

Oh, msbelle. Nothing but vibes for you.

“Not dead yet!”

Damn, msbelle, I am so fucking sorry you're going through this. I hate the DS with a raging passion, but after a few battles, I've more or less won. Considering Nate's issues are so much milder than anything Mac has and it still came close to driving me around the bend, I can't even begin to imagine how you're coping without throwing the thing under the nearest subway train.

Lots of good, calming thoughts headed your way.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

{{{msbelle}}} I have no words of wisdom. You continually amaze me and you have peaceful thoughts headed your way.

Our wings are not tired.

For ita. [link]

For all right minded people. Total fun.

msbelle, I am so sorry you are going through so much with him. FWIW, I've been there with the extreme anger and frustration. My mom continually tells me that these times pass, but it sure doesn't feel like it at the time. I sincerely hope that things improve soon. Calm and peaceful thoughts headed your way.

::whimpers::

Unfortunately, I had that slammed into me how unimaginably tacky it is to wear black to a wedding. Every time I even think about it, I feel my mother hovering over my shoulder whispering how you might as well stand up during the service and shout you think the wedding won't last.

Frelling Old Country Tales, because I loves that dress I does.

Something about garden party makes me feel all F. Scott and Zelda I guess.

Yep. Me too.

Now... the top from this ensemble might work with that skirt from J. Peterman I linked to upthread.
