On my seventh birthday, I wanted a toy fire truck, and I didn't get it, and you were real nice about it, and then the house next door burnt down, and then real firetrucks came, and for years I thought you set the fire for me. And if you did, you can tell me!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Central Market is awesome. Our local grocery is the same owners, so now I will be able to return the Twin Brooks bottles I have around from Metropolitan Market. (Golden Glen is what I have a standing order for at the Ballard Farmer's Market.)

The TB milk is nice. GG does the better eggnog though.

“Not dead yet!”

Central Market does indeed rock. I'm excited because the Yakima Fruit Market just opened up for the season this week. Third Place Commons farmer's market won't open until May at some point and I'm looking forward to that.

So I'm trying to hang pictures, and I can't get anything to line up, and I can't them to stay level, and I'm ruining my walls and I'm getting very frustrated.

This is one of the pictures I'm trying to hang.

I wish I could give you some advice Tom, but I can only commiserate. I have so been there and I have the holes in the wall to prove it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

This is one of the pictures I'm trying to hang.

Heh. A little cognitive dissonance, eh?

Since I realized that none of my walls or ceilings are quite at right angles to each other or the ground or in any way straight, my pictures being crooked bothers me a lot less. It still bothers me, but not in a way I feel driven to try to fix.

It looks like the debit charge from last night's restaurant meal went through without the tip. I know I added a tip and put a new total. Has this happened to anyone? Best remedy suggestions?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Megan, apparently it runs without tip first. At least, that's what I was told when I asked here.

I admit, I never went back to check and see if it ran again.

When that has happened to me it has always been corrected without me doing anything in a couple of days (ie, next time I looked, the total included the tip).

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Sometimes it'll show up without the tip and then later reset to include it. Some function of the fact that the initial approval is only for the pre-tip amount. I'd give it a few days.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah. I think the initial amount is just the hold they put on your account (because at that point they don't know what the tip is). Then when the actual transaction goes through, the correct amount is debited.
