I'm up, waiting for the vet to open, since Mooshu's still got something going on. He hasn't eaten in 36 hours, which means he hasn't had insulin in about that long, which means his blood sugar is no doubt through the roof. He's also running a fever and is clearly uncomfortable, so some doggy ~ma that we figure out what's going on and get him stabilized would be most welcome.
Weather-wise, it's spectacular here and we'd promised the kids we'd get out and do some more exploring (although Nate's just hot to go down to Golden Age Collectibles at Pike Place). If we figure out what's going on with Moosh, we'll still try to get out, if not, I may be cleaning and airing out my house.
Tommy, my take on 50s manliness was that although the US had shown its strength in the war, thus the world stage, on the domestic front there had been a large abscence of men and domestically some women had taken over the "male roles" in the households. So that dynamic had to be re-established by the over manly man presentation and feminine female of the media.
It's 41 and sunny here, which feels a lot like spring, oddly.
I would like to spend the day *not* blowing my nose constantly. We'll see, I guess. I'm also going to go try on a dress I saw that might work for Easter.
It's 50 here, but cloudy. I may go to Target and look at spring clothes anyway.
Huh. Babies are so cute when they're fascinated by other babies.
We're supposed to get to the low 40s today, which is the normal high for this time of year. Yay! We've been below the normal high for about 10 days, which for some reason doesn't seem fair to me....
It's 46 here, too. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to wear pants or shorts for the 10K.
It's only 45 here so far! How can it be warmer in WI than GA?
I am making spaghetti carbonara. mmmm, bacon.
ita, did you know your sites are down? The index page of each work, but not the individual person pages.
Oh, great. They moved servers last night. I didn't think I had any server specific code, but time to comb through.
Thanks for the heads up.
