The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

But now is our chance to try to be the nicest (after hours edition)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Last time my 'hood lost power, I am told it was a squirrel completing an unauthorized circuit.

My building at work has had several squirrel-transformer incidents. Also, lizard-transformer. Our shiny new very sensitive fire alarm system gets a good workout.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

When I was a kid, we were once disrupted from watching Star Trek because of interference from our electric fence. I figured it had shorted out somewhere, causing increased interference with our TV. So I went out to look - I found a bird had landed on the electric fence (which they did all the time) but had grounded itself by touching the metal fence post at the same time. It's dead body was just sitting on the wire, leaning against the post. So I flicked it off (a leg stayed attached to the wire for some reason) and went in to watch Star Trek without the interference.

edit for clarity....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

GLAAD reacts to this week's SVU. I thought that "official" reaction wouldn't have been warm.

Is msbelle gone? Finally! Get out the pink!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I just gotta say I LOVE the posting stats. For the record, I'm still not in the Gang of 14.

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

Holy crap! Remeber a few weeks ago when I joked that Alton Brown was very nearly my elderly cousin's doppelganger? I just glanced up and saw him in a flower print shirt (resembling her dresses) on an old-timey front porch with green siding (just like hers) and had to do a double-take.

Next month, I expect to see him wearing a matching headscarf and purse.

Eragon got published because Carl Hiaasen's stepson bought a copy during one of the (over 100) promotional talksPaolini gave. He loved it, and showed it to his stepdad, who in turn, showed it to his publisher.

Did the deal with the Devil not kick in until after publication to make it a bestseller?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Birds don't get electrocuted because they're not grounded.

We were watching Lilo & Stitch and Owen came up to me crying when they took Lilo away. It made me start crying. Ooof.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

This guy seems to be trying to start a vegan Republican movement. His definition of "mostly vegan" is that he only eats meat once a day. [link]

I do not think that word means what he think it means.
