out of country all inclusives are much cheaper per night, but then you have to pay to get there and factor in the time for travel also.
brenda, the resorts in Africa that I know of are much more than that, but they come with safariis and such, which is more than 2-3 yoga classes.
That doesn't sound crazy to me for US dollars, all-inclusive with spa credits. I spent something a little under that for Mexico all-inclusive, no spa, and the food was only ok. Maybe a third of that for a place in Jamaica where the food was just not good.
I can't speak for time, but you can get a round trip ticket to Jamaica in the off season for $300 from a NY airport. You're lucky that way. I had a cousin who was always taking $750 extra-bargain long weekends from the DC area. Never been practical for me.
is Leverage tonight?!?! Damn not having cable. I am going to have to download, aren't I?
Maybe a third of that for a place in Jamaica where the food was just not good.
Where did you go in Jamaica?
I won't be in NY next year.
is Leverage tonight?!?!
Yep. But TNT streams it, I think, a few nights later.
I won't be in NY next year.
Ah, not soon. Can't speak for flight prices, then.
Couples in Ocho Rios. At the time, this was five years ago, they had a last-minute deal where you could stay at a resort of their choosing for something like $150 pp/night, and you could book it like six days in advance. Now that deal costs more than twice that: [link]
Y'all are acting as I Dollywood weren't a factor here. Dude. DOLLYWOOD.
