"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I just finished proctoring a French exam and now I'm requesting approval for all my summer classes through our cost accounting system. And eating a Cadbury Creme Egg.

I had my first Cadbury Creme Egg of the season last night.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

So these are the style of the knobs I have in my current place, but mine are Schlage from the 1930s and have been painted black by some horrible awful previous owners.

I think I'd like to replace the current ones in the new house which are this style [link]

But $75/door?!?! No can do.

“Not dead yet!”

Mooshu is one picky kitty.

Doggy. Picky doggy. Might as well be a kitty as contrary as he is.

And DJ, ugh. I might have smacked little white dude.

Aged pug to the rescue.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have discovered why these red pants were in that section of my closet. Hem issues.

If I were ultra-handy super-fashion woman I'd have fabric tape on me, but instead I have medical tape, so I'm making do.

On the up side, red pants! These are so not me. These are totally my sister.

SQL's coming along. The dreaming was actually useful, although even at the time I was wondering how I was putting each TV show into query format. But it worked then, and what I'm doing is working now.

In annoying IT-ish news. A while ago my company eliminated banner sheets on our print jobs and made it so anything we sent to the printer got held in a queue until we walked over to the printer and released it. The thought being that we would save paper and folks wouldn't accidentally walk off with your print job.

Instead it is a honking waste of time. I don't normally print much, but I have had to create a document binder this week and OMG, the amount of time I have spent standing next to the printer. Even if I try to get it printing and then make tea or run to the restroom, it isn't enough. Grrrrrrr.

How do you know it's your job you're releasing? Can you jump ahead in line if someone's assing around and not paying attention to their stuff? That would drive me nuts.

Hell, it would drive me nuts just as you describe it. Have you been having a problem with people leaving with your stuff?

Right now our local printer prints a blank sheet in front of every print job. Major environmental fail.

The printer has a little screen with a menu, we go to "retrieve" and then our username shows up with the number of print jobs, so we can print "on demand", even pick and choose which jobs to print or print all.

Without the banner sheets, it is way to easy for someone to not notice that your one page thing is at the back of their 30 page document. So we save paper, but waste a TON of time.

I'm falling asleep at my desk. This isn't cool. I actually had a good night's sleep last night. The caffeine isn't working.

My gmail's working fine, Hil. Just got one a second ago.
