Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Anybody else having trouble getting in to gmail?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My gmail's working fine, Hil. Just got one a second ago.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Isn't Mooshu a doggy? I is confused.

Yep. I is the confuzzled one.

This has been quite the week. It's State Standardized Testing week and the kids have gone 'round the bend. Beginning the day with 2.5 hours of testing for 4 days straight? Not good.

And, on Friday I somehow got an alien baby large lump on my wrist that hurt like a mother f-er. I went to the doc on Monday thinking it was a ganglion cyst only to discover it was an infection that started to spread up my arm. I'm on antibiotics and it seems to be taking care of the infection and shrinking the alien baby lump. Which is good otherwise doc said I would have been put in the hospital yesterday.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Dear IT help desk guy,

Seriously? You think telling people who call because the system is displaying a note that they won't have access to Outlook for 105 minutes to just relax is a good idea? Especially when you know there are surveys going out after each call to see how happy we were with the service?

Seriously?

Coding and Sleeping

Leif's school is gearing up for the standardized testing right now. His mornings are now given over for studying for it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You're right. Plus, it's not like I am covering the reference desk in SF this morning or anything.
