In non-Bureau news: the Dsquared collection for fall had really great shoes. If I were a chiropractor I'd totally want a pair:
Those are AWESOME.

But honestly, I wish we were like an hour away, because then? Would work so well. Even if all you did was curl up and sleep here (that would make me happy.) Have I thanked you enough for last spring? I think not. Man, what a crazy year.
I would like those better without the crazy platform, but I love the heel!!
The house I kinda want just got delisted! I don't know if that's because they got tired of waiting for someone to offer, or because someone offered and they're going to change it to "SOLD" once it's all official-like. Hrmph. Dangit. Grump grump grump.

The one you liked best, meara? Some of the different real estate listing sites will tell you if it's pending.
living an hour from you would be loverly.
You know I LOVED packing and unpacking. LOVED.
We found out today that one of mac's friends up here is moving back to Oklahoma at the end of this school year. They'll be live 4-5 hours away. We are planning to get together in the late summer or mid-fall. YAY!
Still no word on the seller of my wanted house. Tomorrow will be 4 working days!
In the midwest and south, being 4-5 hours away isn't too far at all. Yay for you!!
The book that I had to check out of the library for class was one of 140 in a series of how-to books for the library field. Each book deals with a different topic--everything from how to maintain a young adult collection to computer databases for the library to customer service. Which one did I pick? Dealing with the library board.
Right now, I love the idea of being a library director in a small-to-medium-sized public library. Of course, that could change after I take Library Management, and I could have left going back to school too late to aspire to higher rank in a library, but going into management at a library appeals to me so much more than the idea of going into management at my current company.
You know I LOVED packing and unpacking. LOVED.
Yeah, and I loved you for that. I honestly don't know how I would have survived this w/o you.

But now it'll be pretty much 2 days drive. I did NC to TX in 19 in one shot. Not able to do that now.
We may driving NY to TX with the cats. 3 days in a truck with my dad. oy.
So, had my review. In addition to an awesome dinner, was a very nice review.
Here's how it started off, midway through the third course:
"So, I'm going to give you your bonus information right off. Usually I do that at the end, but I'm just so excited about this one!"
Oy.
The way our comp works is that you have your salary and then target bonus. At my level, bonus target is usually about 5% of comp - not a ton, but enough to care about. When reviews are done, your total score determines what percentage of your bonus target you actually receive. For comparison, my problem child, who is relatively good and at meets expectations but has some issues to work on is getting 50 some percent. My other team member who is stronger is getting 75.
Mine is 242%.
