So, had my review. In addition to an awesome dinner, was a very nice review.
Here's how it started off, midway through the third course:
"So, I'm going to give you your bonus information right off. Usually I do that at the end, but I'm just so excited about this one!"
Oy.
The way our comp works is that you have your salary and then target bonus. At my level, bonus target is usually about 5% of comp - not a ton, but enough to care about. When reviews are done, your total score determines what percentage of your bonus target you actually receive. For comparison, my problem child, who is relatively good and at meets expectations but has some issues to work on is getting 50 some percent. My other team member who is stronger is getting 75.
Mine is 242%.

Thanks guys! That is ... not what I expected. This has been a tough year, and while I knew my review would be overall good, I wasn't really sure where this would play out. Especially in these times as pertains to the $. Man.
