My freezer in prose form: five bananas, a bag of biryani, half a bag of blueberries, one stick of butter, one candle, 2.5 lbs of chicken (breasts and thighs), 2 qts chicken pot pie filling, 3 packets of chopped liver, a can of decaf coffee, one english muffin, 2 bags of flour, 1 serving of French Onion soup, a bag of mixed fruit, an ancient ginger root (2 years old, should I just toss it?), a pint of goose fat, 4 hot dogs, a tray of lasagna, a bag of lima beans, 7 mini pie crusts, 9 blueberry muffins, 1/2 a package of peas, 1 persimmon, a cup of schmaltz, a quart of chicken stock, 4 stuffed potatoes, 4 servings of stuffed sole, an opened can of tomato paste, and 8 waffles.
I am in trouble if we lose power for a significant length of time.
I just have a bunch of frozen veggies, some Amy's frozen enchiladas and ziplocs of shredded cheese. I need nutmeg and vodka.
Oh, I have coffee, ginger, partial cans of tomato paste and chipotles in adobo, and beef broth as well.
Is there a particular reason people store vodka in the freezer (vs. not, or vs. any other kind of alcohol)?
Tastes better ice cold, is the only reason I did.
I have kahlua in the freezer too, but I keep thinking I should just toss it, because it's so old.

I'm pretty sure kahlua will keep indefinitely, especially in the freezer. Its not fragile, like salsa.

Plus Vodka is the traditional drink of those living in far Northern latitudes, so the ice-cold Vodka reminds you of the frozen tundra, ice weasels, etc....
