Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2009: So long and thanks for all the fish.

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2009? Don't think we've forgotten about you

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Aw, thanks, everyone!

So, wanna tell us the whole proposal story?

Well, if you *insist*... It was last Sunday morning (the 20th). We had gone out for a really nice, romantic dinner at a fancy restaurant in town the night before, and just had a lovely time together, and I think it had become clear to both of us that we're in this for the long run. So the next morning I made french toast, which is possibly Mark's favorite meal ever, and when we were done he took my hand and asked me to marry him, and I said "Yes, yes, yes!"

Henceforth in our household, french toast shall be known as Proposal Toast.
