It's not like she blew me off. She just left with another guy, that's all.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2009: So long and thanks for all the fish.

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2009? Don't think we've forgotten about you

Ok, I am a very bad giftee. I got my box days ago, but didn't open it because of...life stuff. Anyway, I just opened it!

It's from London! There is a wonderful book on London Architecture, 2 different bags of tea - Chai and Soho spice!, some super dark chocolate-Green & Black!, lavender incence and a lovely burner and a huge amethyst pendant!!!

I love everything! thank you Secret Santa!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Wow, SA's gift looks wonderful and perfect..

I sent my gift yesterday. Unfortunately 1, I didn't have enough on me to make it travel super fast, so it'll be there in a week's time. Unfortunately 2, it seems like the post decided to get a little bit... enthusiastic with packing my package, so it (the nice package I had in advance) got torn and I had to mail it all in a usual, big, fluffy white envelope.

Nevertheless, it's on its way, and I can't wait for it to get there.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

quester ~ you did get it in time for Christmas! I'm so glad - I was worried it wouldn't make it across the Atlantic in one piece. There's another part on the way, but it went the slower route :D

I'm so glad you like it. It was so much fun shopping for it!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

quester ROCKS! like woah.

First off, everything was wrapped individually, so I had many things to open. YAY!

Second, everything in PINK TISSUE! Awesome.

Third, the stuff: adorable card with a removable reindeer magnet, beautiful magnetic bookmarker/line markers, MONKEY magnetic bookmarks (c'mon MONKEYS!), a cute kitten calendar, pink red and while bookmark pens all with love quotes on them, and 3 packs of blue wrap Trident gum (my favorite). BREATH.

no no, that is not all. Then, there is this awesome local handmade stuff from IA. A warm/cold rice pack, a GORGEOUS handblown glass pink poppy ornament (which may need to stay out year-round in my room), a soy wax Christmas Past candle that smells of pine and wood fire and spices, hot chocolate and chai mix, strawberry rhubarb jam, AND a carved wood ornament that says it all "Joy".

THANK YOU! Really great gift AND you made my Christmas morning, you have no idea!

Oh, msbelle I'm so glad you liked it! I was putting it together the night you were having so much trouble and I hoped it would cheer you up.

I'm glad the monkeys made it into the package. I had a panic when I couldn't account for them!

Seska, it got here days ago! I'm so sorry I didn't post that it had arrived!

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I, too, got my prezzies in time for Christmas, but didn't get a chance to post earlier.

I would say that my prezzies are supercool, but that just doesn't seem appropriate, as they were sent from HAWAII, which is very warm indeed. The most wonderful meara sent three kinds of Hawaiian salt: Hawaiian Blend, Herb Blend, and 100% Alaea. I have no idea what any of these are, although I presume salty, but I look forward to figuring it out. I have a sneaking suspicion that they will make my lentil stew even yummier.

In addition to salt, the season of life, meara sent chocolate covered caramel and macadamia nuts, which, um, CHOCOLATE and CARAMEL and MACADAMIA NUTS. YUM!

There was also an ornament with a ukelele-playing Santa, which will make me feel warm for years to come, and a calendar of Hawaiian men, which will make me feel warm indeed this year, and which will NOT be put up at work. Mayhap in my bedroom.

All of these things are very special not only because they're neato gifts, but being from Hawaii, they will help me feel just a smidgen closer for the incomparable PixKristin and ND's impending wedding. In addition, since I seem to be the only Alaskan who has never been to Hawaii, they seem to be one more sign that I should get off my keester and get over there already.

THANK YOU meara!!!!

Also, my sincere apologies to my seekrit santee, but the gift should be mailed today. Things seem to take forever and a day from Alaska, but it's nearly on its way!
