Spike: I'm not a monster. Xander: Yes! You are a monster. Vampires are monsters! They make monster movies about them! Spike: Well, yeah. Got me there.

'Dirty Girls'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I tried to use Orajel on my wisdom tooth socket. It worked, but also numbed about a third of my tongue. This feels weird.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

smonster, I'm so glad you took foster kitty to the vet. Poor wee thing. Many hugs for you and her.

P-C, I hope you feel better soon - physically and emotionally.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Help. Get me off this phone. She. Um. No!

I should explain.

On the phone with okcupid gal that I'm supposed to have a date with on Saturday. a) she LOVES Fox News. b) she doesn't know what NPR is. c) Her favorite tv show is Fox Sports. She got mad at her kid for deleting the pre-game show, because she wanted to hear the banter of Terry and the guys.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

You really need to get out of Texas.

should I cancel Saturday?

Our wings are not tired.

That is pretty scary, o_a. I do know successful couples with vastly different political opinions and interests. It depends on how many checks you have in the Pro column. If it is all crazy making, then cancel.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I had a rather good day. Started with a good massage, followed by sushi (sadly, the grocery store variety - for some reason sushi places in outer SE portland don't like to stay open after 9pm on weekdays. jerks.) and the made cupcaked for a baby shower tomorrow. Oh, and picked up some super cute bibs for the shower. It's a second baby, so they have the basics covered but i figure you can never have too many bibs. Now catching up on Chuck with a cat in the lap. Indeed, a good day. I spread the ~ma liberally like fluffy cream cheese frosting (of which i have extra.)

eta: and indoor gardening! Tested some samples in preparation for planting bluberries, and started indoor seedlings for broccoli, squash, lemon cukes, cilantro (shut it) and echinacea.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Happy birthday Kristin and Maria! It's my younger brother's birthday too. He's becoming quite portly (he takes settling down literally). Travelling to his party marks the first time Ryan's driven anywhere without anyone sitting next to him (we met Wallybee over there).

Oooh, double birthday happies! Many happy returns to Maria and Kristin!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

a) she LOVES Fox News. b) she doesn't know what NPR is

(a) wouldn't necessarily be a dealbreaker - people change, tastes evolve.

(b), OTOH - WTF? That seems like she's putting an awful lot of effort into staying ignorant.
