Oh good - I am glad it went well, omnis.
Crying in the doctor's office? Usually a sign that I should have been there earlier .
Good luck , Steph. May you find the perfect drug.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Steph, I'm sorry it's taking this to get you into a better place, medically. May this part be over soon and the good part be excellent.
So when might we see you out here for the interview omnis?Dunno yet. I proposed interview dates of Mar 1 or 22nd. Hopefully one of those will be approved.
Oh good - I am glad it went well, omnis. Thanks for everyone's help.
I am hoping for the ability to stay awake for longer than three hours at a time, today. I have to go into uni and finish writing and applications.
The Girl was invited to a 'tell her she's beautiful' thing on Facebook, and is incensed. She's trying to start a rival movement with the intention of examining the structures of patriarchy behind the way many women feel about their bodies, rather than treating the symptoms with more beauty myth crap. (She has stated things slightly more clearly than that, helpfully.) Ah, my feminist angel.
Hands up if you've done that in a doctor's office before.
Oh yes. Most times I see my consultant.
askye, I hope the procedure goes well and prevents further infections.
Much ~ma, Connie.
{{{Teppy}}} I hope the switch in medication goes by without too much more stress. It's not fun, that.
omnis, best of luck with the interview! Good to hear telling your boss went OK.
Gluten-free toast.
If anyone's awake at 11.30am UK time, my old university's student radio is hosting an interview with Professor Colin Barnes, a major authority on the social model of disability. You can listen online at [link] . Some people here were interested in the social model - this is the guy to listen to on the subject.

If she does, I'd love to hear about it.
My sister is going off Celexa and will be starting Cymbalta. She is beyond miserable. She doesn't even know why her doctor is making the change. Yeah, she is not much for the questions. She is seeing him today and I encouraged her to let him know how tough the transition has been. It breaks my heart to see her in so much pain.
Bobby news is crazy making. We got his MRI at 5:30 yesterday. It took forever and wow is it loud! It took them 3 sticks to get the contrast flowing. Then she took extra films because she thought they were needed. Both the techs in the office grilled us as to whether he had hit his head. No, not that any of us recall including Bobby. So they changed the order to stat and by the time we left at 8 they said the films had already been read by the radiologist and he was calling my doctor's cell phone.
We were on the phone and texting back and forth with our doctor until about 10. He never got a call and the place wasn't answering their phone. (doctor is a friend) He was saying stuff to worry me like insisting I take Bobby to the ER if he has any problem. He doesn't. He has weakness and headaches, not anything different than he has for a while.
So the reports are received at the practice via email and I am confident if it isn't already there my doctor will be on it first thing. In the meantime, I am trying to maintain my lifelong habit of anticipating the best possible outcome.
In summary, hugs welcome.

A lot of the Fat Acceptance movement addresses this idea. [link] [link] [link] Those are links to some of the blogs, but I didn't hunt down particularly relevant posts. [link] That's the BMI project.

This I can do. {{{{{{{Laura and Bobby and Bobby's brain}}}}}}
Laura, how tough that must be for you all. Hope the news comes in quickly this morning.
