Lorne: You know what they say about people who need people. Connor: They're the luckiest people in the world. Lorne: You been sneaking peeks at my Streisand collection again, Kiddo? Connor: Just kinda popped out.

'Time Bomb'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

{{{ Bitches }}} lots of folks are needing them, so I offers to the whole lot of ya.

In the middle of swirling craziness at work, I asked boss if he had a few seconds for me to chat with. Finally got it at end of day. Thankfully, he was very cool. He guessed it pretty quick. "Medical?" (no) "Job Interview?" Told him how I was being head hunted, and that it was an opportunity that I couldn't ignore. We easily hashed out a few options. He joked that if I get the gig, I can't leave until I find a replacement. We then chatted about cost of living negotiations, and what he did when negotiating for the move here. Clearly I stressed about it more than needed. And clearly shows why I followed the dude to Texas.

e-mail sent with 2 options for 2nd interview. Let's hope the one picked has warm, sunny weather! O_A is getting sick and tired of cold, rainy weather. This extended, "unusual" Texan winter really sucks.

Oh good - I am glad it went well, omnis.

Crying in the doctor's office? Usually a sign that I should have been there earlier .

Good luck , Steph. May you find the perfect drug.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Steph, I'm sorry it's taking this to get you into a better place, medically. May this part be over soon and the good part be excellent.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I am hoping for the ability to stay awake for longer than three hours at a time, today. I have to go into uni and finish writing and applications.

The Girl was invited to a 'tell her she's beautiful' thing on Facebook, and is incensed. She's trying to start a rival movement with the intention of examining the structures of patriarchy behind the way many women feel about their bodies, rather than treating the symptoms with more beauty myth crap. (She has stated things slightly more clearly than that, helpfully.) Ah, my feminist angel.

Hands up if you've done that in a doctor's office before.

Oh yes. Most times I see my consultant.

askye, I hope the procedure goes well and prevents further infections.

Much ~ma, Connie.

{{{Teppy}}} I hope the switch in medication goes by without too much more stress. It's not fun, that.

omnis, best of luck with the interview! Good to hear telling your boss went OK.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Gluten-free toast.

If anyone's awake at 11.30am UK time, my old university's student radio is hosting an interview with Professor Colin Barnes, a major authority on the social model of disability. You can listen online at [link] . Some people here were interested in the social model - this is the guy to listen to on the subject.

If she does, I'd love to hear about it.
