So, instead of getting dressed and going to my office to get writing stuff after my interview, I ended up taking a nap. I really don't feel like going out now. Writing can wait one more day, I guess.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
(And remind me I said that when my first heart attack/blockage/baboon heart transplant rolls around, please.)
I'm just hoping I'm working from my maternal genes and not my paternal ones. My mom's side creaks along until they keel over in their 80s, whereas my father's side seizes up in their 60s.
Oh Laura- I've got my fingers crossed that tests come back with some answers. ACTIONABLE answers.
Good luck tomorrow, Connie.
Lots of diagnosis~ma and health~ma for Connie and Bobby.
{{{Sean}}} I read about the closure in one of the local newspapers over the weekend--I don't think you and I even talked about it, but I remembered that you'd worked there and of course I know its long and lovely history and my heart just sank for you and everyone in the community.
The entire state is just hemorrhaging richly storied, historic theatres and it's heartbreaking (I especially hate that time and money constraints have meant that I haven't acted in or seen a single show in a live theatre since 2003--not that my measly presence or $8 sliding scale ticket would have made a difference to any of them, but I still feel guilty).
It's a bad time for Arts in California, but this is also not something new. We dropped to the bottom of the list for Arts funding a few years ago, long before the recession kicked into gear. We used to have great schools and great arts funding in this state, those days are long gone.
I'm going out to do some errands with thessaly today because we are going to have our own (smaller) version of the snowocalypse tomorrow, and who knows when I will be able to get out again.
I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow, Connie.
~ma for Connie and Bobby, and TCG's step-grandmother.
Oh, pfft. You cry when you watch Batman.
You have *met* Buffistas before, right?
Seanie, love, so sorry.
On a happier note, WOOT WOOT NEW ORLEANS WITH NORA! And my sister is coming, too! I can't freaking wait. Wish I could go for the whole two weeks.
Health ~ma coming at ya, Connie. And ~ma for TCG's grandma. Pneumonia at that age is always scary.
They rescheduled Bobby's MRI for 5pm today at a different place because they wanted a bigger magnet finer resolution. I still picked him up from school at noon since I figured he would be expecting me. We had lunch together.
