Ah, the pitter patter of tiny feet in huge combat boots. Shut up!

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Our wings are not tired.

smonster, your amusing date has once again made me grateful for being an old married person. Dude has done all the other fish a favor by making them look great by comparison.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Being snowed in is getting boring.

We've started to get snow again here too. It is below zero C, which I know would be considered warm for winter in some places, but feels horrible here, especially with our damp atmosphere. Not good for the joints. Note to self: move to Spain.

Yalla, habibti.

Yalla feyn?

I've been playing with okcupid. And soon my father will arrive and we will try -- again -- to unstick my car. I think the undercarriage is caught on the icy snow, but he thinks we just need more traction. We'll see. I tried AAA last night, but they weren't sending anyone out -- and it was such a hassle trying to explain that I'm not in Ohio that I don't want to try it again.

The advantage of being the Red Queen is being able to shout "off with their heads" a lot.

I'm volunteering at Abby's school this morning.

What the hell was I thinking?

Just watched Aimee's toast to ND and Pix.

Damned allergies.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I was freaking out about seeing my family, and afterwords, I was all stressed out and hardly slept last night, but during the visit I was perfectly calm, and even less avoidy than usual. It's surreal, and probably not very healthy for me mentally.

I think this is huge progress, Tom. You have figured out how to navigate visits with them. The more times you do that (and of course it won't happen every time, but I bet it happens more and more), the old habits of worry beforehand and adrenalin afterward will go away, because your body will have learned a new way to cope and you won't need to worry or detress as much. So, yay you!
