I'll eventually get him to go, just aimlessly, and he'll enjoy it, just sometimes, it takes a little shove. Maybe a kick.
You need a Snipe Hunt to get him out the door. "I'm trying to find an antique store I heard about between here and Edmonds. I don't know its name so I can't look it up, but it has a rusty plow in the front yard."
Sometimes my underwire set off the alarm, some times it did not. According to the security officers it was a matter of temperature.
Wait, what? I need more information on this. Warmer or cooler sets them off? You never know when you'll have to sneak your, uhm, underwires through security.

Ha! I might just try that, although he may not buy it from me. "You ALWAYS know where you're going..."
Perhaps if I just bribe him with brownies...
Speaking of food, tonight's dinner was fairly divine. Peppered beef tenderloin seared, then finished off in the oven with onions, carrots, and rosemary from my own garden! OMG... I need to see what else I can plant in there and not kill. Also, identify what else is currently growing in there.
Barb, whole family scavenger hunt Bingo. Each of you think of 5 things you want to "find" (can be common or not). Place everyone's items in rows/columns of 5 in various orders (on different cards). Head out. Cover your "items" as you find them - first with 5 in a row wins!
I just made that up. Sometimes being a camp counselor for all of those years really does pay off.
Barb, that sounds yummy! We had roasted vegetable over quinoa with a salad and red wine.
I am bored.
After spending 3 hours in Urgent Care this morning, turns out that both Emeline and I have strep. Mine is pretty bad. Like, my tonsils are touching bad. Pain so bad I haven't eaten or slept in two days and the very nice doctor gave me Vicodin and mega-ibuprofren.
I'm finally getting some cream of mushroom soup in my tummy, and I got a nap today, but now I'm bored.
Poor Lewis, though, he hates just aimlessly going with no destination in mind--he wants to know he's going somewhere to do something. I suggested we drive to Edmonds and he was like, "Why?"
"Because you took my hammer, and now I own you."
Matilda climbed over everything while we snacked on a lovely indoor picnic of baguette and cheese and salami and olives and hummus. She conked out and we played the game Ticket to Ride which was much fun. The last time we had played it was with Scola, so we spoke of his skill as a railroad baron.
Ticket to Ride is a great social game, especially with four people. I'm a little burnt out on it now, but it's well designed. I recommend getting the 1910 expansion - it's better balanced with the extra routes and with a "Most routes completed" bonus.

Oh, yuck. I hope you're both better soon.
Do your tonsils look like Kermit eyes, Aims? And you haven't collapsed semicomatose into bed from lack of sleep? Poor Aims. I hope the drugs do their job well and quickly.
I wouldn't be awake long enough to be bored.
