Buffy: Where are the burgers? Riley: Yeah man, I'm starving. Cow me. Xander: I'd love to make with the moo but the fire's not cooperating.

'Lessons'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

What's the fun in babysitting if you can't corrupt your charges just a little bit?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

So I feel like a helpless girl. I went to check the fluids on the car, and can't figure out how to open the damn caps for the coolant overflow or the engine oil. All the other cars I have had in the past, it was push down and turn. These - there is no play to push down, and I can only manage about a quarter turn, and that doesn't get them open. Daniel is at work for a training session, so it will be hours before he can help me. Can the hivemind tell me the new trick?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

WS, maybe it's just a quarter turn and lift up? Ours just pops right off after that quarter turn, like a childproof pill bottle once you've got the arrows lined up. Or have you already tried that?

WS, I have no clue but good luck.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Blueberry bars are baking. They're a bit less blueberry than planned, because I assumed that the bag of blueberries in my freezer was 16 ounces, but then I took it out and realized it was 12 ounces. Then I thought I could make up the difference with other berries, but the only other kind of berry I had in my freezer was strawberries, and that didn't seem right.

Mostly lurking...

WS, I have no idea. I'm sorry!

Just found out that my favorite parent/dear friend/name-sharer is in the hospital with a really serious infection. I just talked to her, and she sounds like she's in good spirits, but I'm scared for her. She had this a year ago too, and they have no idea why she's getting them.

She's got four kids, and they've just got to figure this out.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, vw. So much ma~ to your friend, and happynews~ma, too.

WS, what sj said.

IOpettyMeN: I found out that I'm not being trusted enough to do something (moderating a message board) I'm doing voluntarily for years out of pure fanglisism and respect on the official version, esp. after I got to do this following an "appointing" from one of the band members. I wish I could say I don't care and there are probably stuff I'm not aware of and etc., but it hurts, and I didn't see it coming. I have no idea what's going on, or why suddenly I'm not good enough.

“Not dead yet!”

We're going to go play tourist in our new hometown today. Pike Place Market. The kids are hot to check out the down under shops.

They and you are going to love it! Have some lavender ice cream for me, if you find it.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

You're going to have So Much Fun! I got a wonderful Andrew Wyeth book at the bookstore there, and walked away from a dozen more I'd like to have gotten, as well. And the fooooood! And the incense store! And, and, and-- You're going to have So Much Fun!
