Our friend's teenage son died last night. He was car surfing, got knocked/fell out of the car and the car behind ran over him.
The whole thing is a mess. Trying really hard not to cry at my desk.
My friend and his wife (kid's stepmom and mother to his 2 half brothers) had trouble with this kid for a long time, so there's that going on. I know he'd kinda cut him loose lately. It's hard to imagine that's the same sweetfaced 12 year old I met years ago. Or was.
Yep. I think I'm going to go to the bathroom and have a cry.

erika - do you keep up with The Daily Show. He laid into KO for being OTT on Scott Brown. While keeping in mind that OTT is kinda KO's thing, it was a pretty fair smackdown. He seemed reluctant about it though (It felt like a "you're not really HELPING" dealio to me).
