Oh, yeah, they wiggle every time. Unless they're going for the jugular, they never hit the vein the first time and have to wiggle, probably withdraw, wiggle, push back in. Once as many as 13 times. Still, when they offer to go intra-muscular I turn them down because the shots just don't last as long. Without the slam of IV, it really doesn't kill the pain. So the wriggling and repoking is worth the extra day or two.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Scooooooones are in the oven. I hope I didn't knead them too long, but they were so gooey!
Oh gawd. Phlebotomy details could be in sp ider font for me. Skippity skipping merrily through that part of the thread.
askye, I'm glad you are taking a bit of time off. You aren't letting your coworkers down - you are taking care of yourself so that you can give your best efforts when you are there.
Mmm, scones. I highly recommend taking Buffista advice whether medical or culinary. I have, as a result of Buffista urging, snickerdoodles, Amish chicken casserole, and cornbread. Tomorrow is the SO's exploratory cooking day.
The scones smell faboo. I think I'm going to have to eat one to check quality control.
Mmm, scones! Cherry-almond is actually my favorite, at the local coffee place.
I'm going to have to find a real recipe, not just a boxed mix. These are okay, but they're just a little doughy tasting, if that makes sense. I may have pulled them out of the oven a little soon. It said 15-20 minutes and at 17 they had a nice brown top to them, so I figured that was good enough, I didn't want them to burn. Still, with chocolate cherry flavored coffee in the morning, they'll hit the spot!
Scones! Yum. Now I want some. Never attempted to bake those. Might have to try.
askye, it's good to hear that you're taking a sick day. Definitely sounds like it's needed. I hope you can stay hydrated.
I'ma just nod and quote Sail here:
Connie, that's excellent news about your sister. I hope she and your family continue to hear good things.
now that I'm past the five-year mark.
Ginger, that is just so awesome. I'm really glad you're here to say that.
Really, really glad.
How do you pronouce scones, anyway? Scohhhns? Schoons? I've heard it both ways. And skonns.
I've heard "scohns" and "scuns".
