I'm pretty inured to it. They always give up before I want them to. Mostly it doesn't hurt, unless they're going right at the base of the wrist, or in my palm.

The worst part of doing a drug study was when they put in a shunt to do regular draws and they'd tug and wrench at it to open it when the dried blood clogged in the screwtop. Ugh.
