Nothing worse than a monster who thinks he's right with God.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

P-C, wow. Bless your mom's artlessly cunning heart, that could not possibly be more transparent if she'd etched it on glass, sealed it in a glass envelope and had it delivered by a flock of glass passenger pigeons.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I don't think that sadness/regret would be the response. I am guessing the child might be angry at the parent for wasting all of the time by not understanding that kids grow up

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'd still like to know what terrorist act it's possible to carry out with four ounces of liquid but impossible with three ounces.

Bad home dye jobs.

a heart-warming story of a mother that badgered her son so much that they were never able to share a true relationship. UNTIL one day when she witnesses a GOOD relationship between a friend and her friend's son. And only then does she learn how to treat her son with respect and allow him to find his own happiness, so that he will want to share that happiness with her.

Nicole is the best. The end.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I was first in the list of names! And then there were a few others before my brother and sister appeared.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

You know maybe the amulet really is magic. As long as it is not in your possession your Mother's guilt trips don't work any more.

There is a slightly amusing thing to note about bad juju Thursday: I was considering going to the io9 meet-up on Thursday in hopes of running into the cute girl from the xkcd party who totally flaked out on me, but I decided I didn't need the potential awkwardness in my life right now, despite the small possibility that things could go well. Turns out she was, in fact, there. And she's still cute. And not calling me.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

All I can think of is Princess Leia saying to Grand Moff Tarkin, "The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers." But I don't think P-C's mom would really get that.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm watching Carousel on TV. I swear, this movie gets more disturbing every time I see it. Or maybe I've just got enough time between viewings that I forget some of the more disturbing parts.

“Not dead yet!”

I sure hope Bev went out and explored today because it was GORGEOUS. An example of what it looked like today...
