Bitches: Eventually, I plan to write a diary about the feminist gender gap. Do you think there is one? What do you think contributes to it? Because every article I've ever seen on the subject is either "Ma, get off my back..." Or "These kids with their corsets and sex blogs...don't forget lazy, shallow, and ungrateful."(And, yeah, I think I'm funny, posting that on *Bitches*) Which I suppose both have tiny kernels of truth, but kernels are for popcorn.ETA: Ha, my tag looks really funny next to feminist chat.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Beautiful picture, ND & Pix!!!
Cash, you definitely have to send pics of that to the actual Mythbusters. They would be so smitten. That's fabulous. I was just laughing to myself about how many of my friends, here and elsewhere, reference Mythbusters as a definitive information source in everyday life. Think how much more it's going to be for kids like Leif and Owen!
The wedding photos are unbelievably gorgeous. Pix especially is so lovely.
Erika, do you mean generation gap? Because otherwise I'm confused.
Java , I am so happy to hear that things improved!
and Go , Owen
Yeah. I mean, I know men have them too, obviously. But I think their ways of dealing with it are more established. And there's always that thing about not getting each other's music and junk like that, but in terms of feminism, it seems that all of the generations involved seem to feel they aren't getting respected, or something. I mean, of course even politics can't keep mothers and daughters understanding each other at all times, obviously.
erika, do you read Tiger Beatdown? I'm not sure how much transitioned over from her previous blog (at blogspot) but a while back she had some awesome stuff about Andrea Dworkin.
Also, I LOVE HER.
Java, I'm so glad that the rest of your trip improved, and I hope we will get a chance to "meet" next time you are in town.
erika, is this the "Is this what we burned our bras for, you ungrateful girl children?" thing?
Also, I LOVE HER.
Wrod.
erika, is this the "Is this what we burned our bras for, you ungrateful girl children?" thing?
"We didn't burn our bras so that you would pay $100 for a leg wax!"
