Last week the DH and his wonderful Bro spent several days tearing out the crappy plywood shelves in the garage and putting in cool metal ones from Costco. Today, we spent all day going through everything and organizing it all into plastic bins. There was much use made of our labelmaker and I did manage to get Jason to throw out a lot of stuff, which is a rarity. Not only do we now know where everything is, we have shelves in our garage WHICH ARE EMPTY.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
(Shhh, Scrappy. Don't say that out loud. Especially where most guys can hear you. They tend to take empty horizontal space as a personal affront.)

I understand the individual words, but together they make no sense.
I had a revelation on the drive home about a way to entirely reorganize my house that would give me more room and put the comfy couch in the den, where I would actually sit on it. This plan involves swapping large pieces of furniture between every room of my house and selling a bed. This is why I shouldn't take long drives.
It's -6˚F and dropping.
Now I know why last night's moon was blue...
But--it's onlly furniture, Ginger, it's not knocking down walls and building on rooms. Hire Two Men and a Truck--or just the Two Men--for a day, and go for it! Anything that makes your space more liveable is worth it, I think.
I had an inspiration and moved my couches around a couple of months ago, swapping two large couches from one room to another. Which also required moving every single piece of furniture in both rooms, without exception, including several large bookshelves. Oy. But it's so much better the new way.
I got to see the moon night before last, but we were having a Howling Monsoon so I did't get to see the blue moon. I'm sad I missed it.
We've got a lot of turbulence, either caused by or causing higher temps. But there's lots of wind to compensate.
In the continuing cat pee chronicles, the little fucker has branched out into spraying my backpack. Grrrrrrrrrrrr... my goodwill is rapidly evaporating. Roomie thinks it's a territorial thing, not with my cats but with the ones who prowl past the porch. We're both at a loss what to do. I think Feliway plug-ins are in our near future.
But--it's only furniture
There are also about 700 linear feet of books involved.

Ah, those particular pieces of furniture. Yes, that would be an undertaking. Still, the outcome might be worth it. You have your books all organized, right? You could just put them right back on the shelves once the shelves are in their new places? You could call in some favors with the trivia crew, or friends or neighbors, maybe.
Feel free to ignore me. I'm in unpack, consolidate and repack for eventual unpacking later mode. Boxes don't scare me, right now.
