I'm glad to rent at the moment. Owning a home would be nice, but not until I can afford to have someone else do what I consider the big maintenance (gutter cleaning, floor refinishing, etc.). I doubt I'll ever be able to afford to buy where I live now.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I doubt I'll ever be able to afford to buy where I live now.
You might could afford my neighborhood, but who knows for how much longer.
You're going tonight, yes?
Unless we come into a large amount of money, there is no way we will be able to buy a big enough place to support Drew's business in LA. Heck, we couldn't even afford to buy just a decent house in a decent neighborhood. That used to bother me since I owned a condo at 22 and a house at 27 before losing it all during the divorce, but I'm actually fine with it now. The only thing that worries me is the uncertainty of renting (whether or not the owner will be able to make payments or will need to sell is a constant fear), but I try to keep that worry simmering on a back burner and focus on the good stuff.
You're going tonight, yes?
Yep. I'll be driving, because my ankle has almost stopped hurting, and walking to and fro in the dark doesn't seem like a wise way to keep that going. See ya there?
