I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

Book ,'Serenity'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Well, it looks like it was a bank error, not our payroll guy's error, which ok, But yeah. Still fucked.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I LOVE abrien. What a marvelous gift, i got NINE FULLL HOURS of sleep last night. it was like.....normal weekend! I checked my phone and ocmputer and yes....absolutely no sign of an ambien-related shennangicans. In fact, no sign that i ever even rolled over in bed. And no wacky crazy dreams. I smudged my room heavily with high quality acoma sage before bed and it seems to have done it's duty quite well.

tonight i shall try just ambien without the oxy and see if i can rely on only one addiction-causing drug to get through the night.

But really, last nights tally was : 1 naprosyn, 1 ambien, 1 oxycodone, and ZERO wakenings to sit and ice and redose. That'a a marvelous improvement for my mood. I think i might even be able to wrap presents today! Good thing....

Cranberry relish is in the fridge; Watergate salad in the fridge. Nick and his girlfriend, FiL and his boyfriend, all coming over tonight. We'll exchange their gifts and eat finger foods. Ham, cheese ball (the kids will be making that next), tomatoes, black olives, pickles, crackers, etc. Maybe pumpkin pie if I get it made in time.

For those of you not caught up on LJ, or not on LJ, I thought I would share a Kara:

Kara: I'm going to sleep in the living room on Christmas Eve, with the camera, so I can get a picture and SHOW YOU (she asked, I was honest, my bad) that Santa's real.

Me: You can't do that! To stay on the nice list, you have to be snug in your bed. You know, "The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugar plums danced in their heads..."?

Kara: I've never in my life had a vision of a sugar plum. I dream of goblins. Goblins! What does that say about which list I'm on? huh?

Jilli commented that Kara's on the same list she is, which made Kara very happy. She thinks Jilli's wardrobe is "stunning".

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

erin, I am so glad you got a good night's sleep!

Teppy, I hope you feel better soon, my sistah in snotdom.

{{p-c}} chill today and take care of yourself.

At my mom's. My cat found his present under the tree and already pulled out a toy. Ruined his Christmas, he did.

ok...typing on my phone. There were some paragraph breaks in my prev post. Such as, I did not mean for p-c to take care at my mom's. He could but it would be quite a drive.

What is even happening?

Oh Sunil, that sounds so much worse than what I read on facebook. I'm glad you're physically okay. I hope your peace of mind returns, and soon.

Teppy, I hope you feel better, too.

Merry Christmas, Buffistas (especially our new baby Buffistas, okay and the older babies too).

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

P-C that sounds hellaciously scary, but I think someone else probably got mugged (or almost), and you weren't the target. That, or it was guys fucking around with each other.

Or someone getting arrested. Scary shit either way, P-C.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

P-C, I hope your peace of mind returns soon.

Steph, I hope you feel better really damn quick.

Deena! I wish there was a way I could borrow Kara for a week or so. We'd make clothes and go on adventures, and I'd tell her to be proud of her wee spooky self.

I am "working from home" today, as I have not been on this contract long enough to qualify for holiday pay. "Working from home" means being logged into CorpNet and checking my email.
