'Objects In Space'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I know it's okay for them, but not the dosage. And I'd bet it's way, way smaller than the smallest human dose. I'd call your vet, if that is an option. To be sure it's allergies and be sure you have something resembling a safe dosage.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks. I think a call to the vet is in order tomorrow morning. He seems okay, just quiet. He's never quiet until he's worn himself out.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Nora, I cannot believe the situation with your boss. This passed "logic" about 100 miles ago.

All that I can wish you is sanity, calming, and a boss that respects that your a human being in the future. It's a basic. That's all.

Zenkitty, cat~ma.

ION. Dead tired, but. Con! Really fun con! And in J-lm, so you don't have to ride to Tel Aviv to be in it!

Today I'm about to hear about:
Astronomy and Cosmology during the Renaissance
String Theory
The Ecology of Alien
"Wild Scenarios for the Future" panel
The Passion for Space: A Psychoanalytical look on 2001, Space Odyssey
Another Panel, called "Robinson Crusoe in Space"
And a lecture called The Stars (Aren't) My Destination.

Plei, house-selling~ma to you guys. I know this has been a long and tiring process. Hopefully the new owners will see the house soon and jump on it.

Damn, damn, drat. Just saw a typo on a pdf that announces a Christmas gift. Mom is getting a marked up printout, I tell you what. How did I not see this earlier? Why can't I just unsee it now?

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

{{Nora}} sucky situation, but it sounds like you handled it really well and gave a text-book perfect response.~ma for new-better-job-finding.

Benadryl for cats, yes/no?

Yes. I do advise talking to your vet about it.

IIRC, my vet told me I could give it to my Harvey at 1 mg per pound of body weight (children's liquid is the easiest way to ensure accuracy, but the flavor is not a cat's favorite). A quick check of the Merck Veterinary Manual puts the dosage at about twice that.

Vanilla flavored coffee and strawberries for office breakfast. Yay.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I blame all of you for the awful dream I had about being made to wait in the dentist's chair for hours while he went and played golf, before he took all my teeth out. I'm just sayin'.

I vote for staying home after wisdom teeth removal. This is under general anasethetic, I take it, rather than local? I had mine out under a general, and was exhausted the next day. Definitely a good idea to rest.

Shir, the sci-fi con sounds amazing! And entirely worth missing classes for.

I'm sorry about the boss problems, Nora. And I hope the drink four drinks helped.

Local plus nitrous oxide. I'll be in a happy little orbit. But now that I've talked to you all, and Daniel, and my supervisor, I'm thinking the best thing would be to see if I can have it done on a Friday (taking that day off) just before one of our weekends off, so I have a few days. Supervisor has asked me to wait till the holidays are over. Considering it is no emergency, and that the holidays come with a special brand of scheduling nightmare, I think it is quite reasonable. (Mostly I just made that appointment for next Wed. because I knew if I didn't, I would end up procrastinating indefinitely, but if it was scheduled, I would reschedule, if need be.)

Thank you, all, for your thoughts on it. You really did help. And so patiently, too, as this is not nearly an interesting enough topic, like grammar, that it deserves to be brought up for its own sake.
