Hey, we got a "shine as a beacon of hope to all the world" voiceover! I don't think I've ever seen that "all the world" stuff in a Jewish-themed show that wasn't specifically made for a Jewish audience before. I'm ... unsure how I feel about it. But it's interesting.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Cash, glad to hear the good news for your sister. Vibing hard for her.
This.

Hil, that sounds every bit as mortifyingly schmoopy as most made-for-cable Christmas movies. That's the America I know and love - non-aerosol cheez-food for all!
sj - insent.
Just skipping to the end to say that Jilli needs this: [link]
Dear office people,
Stop giving files names in Hebrish (Hebrew written in English). It hurts my eyes and takes me ages to read. You're fluent in both langauges, use 'em, for God's sake.
Thanks,
Me.
I *love* the Muppets Christmas bells. Shared it on FB. Genius (like much Muppets stuff).
Shir, eek. That sounds irritating.
Continuing best wishes for your sister, Cashmere.
I handed in my dissertation two weeks ago. I wonder when it's OK to start asking professors if it's been marked yet...
Aims, I got it. I'll respond as soon as I am caffienated enough to be coherent.
shit i did not say today (remember the friend with the earplugs? yeah.): Yes, your cold was still contagious. Thank you ever so.
Question re: jobseeking etiquette for those who know about This Stuff:
I got a phone call from a director of a department at another university, referencing a position I'd applied for- she said that they weren't going with me for that position, but to call her back to discuss other staff positions available in that department.
I call her back, and the voicemail is for someone else in the same department. I leave a message, and look her up on the uni online directory, and confirm the phone number is correct. I email just to follow up, just in case. (I don't reference the confusion of the outgoing voicemail, but do say I left a message at the number she left). These things both occurred on Wednesday afternoon.
I haven't heard anything back- is it OK for me to call again today to follow up?
