Ah, the pitter patter of tiny feet in huge combat boots. Shut up!

Mal ,'War Stories'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Awww, meara! And those are super-cute.

You, I was attempting to make your head explode with the horror, because I knew you'd FEEL MY PAIN.

I KNEW IT. Which is why I feel no remorse for sending you the link to the rhinestone Batman symbol iron-on.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

You, I was attempting to make your head explode with the horror, because I knew you'd FEEL MY PAIN.

You are a giver, Plei.

Really, I am running away to take a bath. But I really like this: [link]

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I love that one. I think there's a version of it for every single sect in existence, except the Unitarians and Episcopalians.

Heh. I admit, I adapt it for Christians in general when talking to those of other faiths or none. :D

Just subluxed a rib. I hate that feeling.

Ow. That's never good. I hope you're feeling better now.

Wish me interview~ma! I've got an interview today for a training course. If I get a place (which is partly dependent on the extent of the organization's funding, for I am out of their catchment area), I'll be formally trained as a Disability Equality Trainer. This is exciting and means I can do much more of that training, which I love. Plus it's only one day a week so I can still work on my academic writing etc.

I do have to drive to Essex for this interview. An hour and half. Ouch. If I get the place, it had better be worth the commute!

Latkes and donuts.

Not unrelated to our previous discussion: Happy Hannukah, all. Tonight's candle-lighting will be shared by my father, who was so honoured to be invited for the first night that it was just adorable.

That reminds me, I need to go and buy The Girl's first gift after my interview (a decent set of pots and pans - we've been cooking with cheap, crappy ones for far too long).

Interviewma!

Did you send that to me before or after I sent you the utterly random Batman pendant that trembles and has wings?

Before. Which I guess makes that freaky Batman pendant fair revenge.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Before. Which I guess makes that freaky Batman pendant fair revenge.

Batman is, after all, the name you can trust for all your vengeance needs.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I skippity-skipped, too. Did Nora say how today went?

Interview~ma, Seska.

Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate!

P.S. That reminds me, I'll have to see if I can find the Mennorah decorations at the group home. We have one resident who is Jewish, and while her family don't expect us to have even a tiny clue, they seem to appreciate it when we try.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

So, I woke up today to find that my aunt died last night. She was my mother's younger sister and had been in the hospital the last few weeks in critical care.

It just feels out of the blue and like she was way too young.

My poor cousin who works the boats in the gulf is a mess.
