In further me news, thanks again to everyone for their kind words last night and this morning.
I did, in fact, go get that kettlecorn ::mumbleandsomeothestuffiprobablyshouldn'thavemumble:: and parked myself in front of the season finale of Top Shot and a Glades episode. Definitely did the trick.
Have you ever had a heavy emotional experience and then wake up the next day with a faux hangover? I did this morning. Not painful, just sort of toxic.
I chalk it up to two interestingly related dreams that seemed to be based on the where my head went yesterday. One in which I went back to the place where my father and I lived alone. In the dream, much time had passed, the place was lovely and the people were really kind.
In the other dream, a very practical, but caring man (not one I recognized in the dream) gave me a pep talk about not letting myself dwell in sadness.

the season finale of Top ShotI like that show. About the only reality show I watch of late. I was hoping the kid would have won. Actually, first was the kid, then the gal, then JJ. The dude who won annoyed me early on. I tried to get my BIL to try out for Top Shot 2 (retired Marine sniper). Alas, it looks like he is real close to finally getting a job (it's been almost 3 years!) and will involve time over seas, and not available to do the show. :: sigh ::

Top ShotYeah, I severely limit my reality show exposure, preferring to leave the drama to other people's mamas. TS is enjoyable because it is totally skill based. You make the shot, or you don't.
I was actually worried that JJ would win. That would have been a bit too 'dream team' for my liking. It was interesting to see what tripped him up, and gratifying to hear him taking responsibility for it...unlike that Blake guy who was so annoying with blaming knives for not being guns and blaming guns for not being like other guns. I can see why Iain would bug, but talent will out. He was the most consistently successful. I honestly think the woman would have given him a run for it, if she had been able to stay.

Nice guy, but his specialty gun, kept messing up on. I can't believe how many times he didn't get nominated for elimination. Brad annoyed me a bit too.
I'd be curious just how far Tara would have gone. I think the challenge that wiped out Kelly and Adam might have eliminated her. Not sure. I hope, if she wants, they would let her into Top Shot 2.
