Yeah, AAA is da bomb. When I was a kid and we always had beater cars Mommy would get AAA Gold because they'd tow her a hundred miles. That was our radius for trips - if anything happened AAA would take it to Kenny and he'd glue the bastard back together again.

TCG has the gold membership, and it saved us a lot of money when he had to have his car towed from an hour away from home.

My first Operation Laundry Ninja mission is a success!

R has a "thing" about giving you her laundry to do. I think I get it - her memory is shot so it must be hard for her to hand the bulk of her few possessions off to someone.

So, yesterday while she was at the hairdresser I went in and emptied her hamper. After she was asleep I folded it. Today when the attendant came to shower her I put it away.

She walked into breakfast wearing one of the clean outfits. SUCCESS!

Now if I can just get her to change her hearing aid batteries. She HATES doing it. Can't tell you why -- apparently it makes her happy to hear better once she does.

I have tried several tactics to do it smoothly and she has dodged every one of them. I don't want to do anything so confrontational as "NO LUNCH UNTIL BATTERIES".

Hmm... Maybe I'll spend lunch moving my lips without making sounds and THEN break out the batteries as I am clearing the dishes.

Gronk! Still not waking up. I did NOT want to get up in the first place. Today is a day made for staying in bed. It's rainy, slightly chilly (well, chilly for DC summer), and there's high pressure (yay, sinus!)

It was not helped by the annoyance that some jackass had taken my trashcan that was outside of my office to put umbrellas in. Seriously? It's someone's trash can! I need that!

I've had a simmering fury on the back burner for 25 years that vision and dental aren't included in healthcare coverage. Like what happens to your eyes and teeth aren't important to your health.

It really should be covered. There is a lot of evidence that oral health and physical health are linked.

I feel better today. Boy, did I feel gross yesterday. I still don't feel great, but better enough to do some work.

Feeling super overwhelmed today, like I have 3 jobs (actual job, volunteer work job for a big project that is next week, landlord job for condo in MA) and I am unable to focus on any of them. I try to organize my time and make lists, but I am just super flail-y and want to hide.

Maybe I wasn't ready to go back to work yet? Also, I am still unmedicated due to an Tino-esque insurance situation?
