Played with Kaylee. Sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I ate the bits, the bits stayed down, and I work. I function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away. The sun goes dark and chaos has come again. Bits. Fluids. What am I?!

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

One of the hardest parts is that because his wife is taking chemo, she can't go to the hospital. She does have quite a few local relatives who are taking care of things. There's not going to be a lot I can do, since her relatives view me as a know-it-all and possibly Communist, but I know they do love my cousin.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Aw, crud, Ginger. Fuck cancer, and so much ~ma for your cousin, his wife, and your whole family.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Oh Ginger! I'm so, so sorry.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ginger, that's...that's unspeakable. I am so sorry.

I thought you were proud of your nausea-inducing links!

I'm just trying to share the wealth, that's all. I think my rep is somewhat biased.

Wait, that was the good stuff? What have you been holding back?

Harrumph. The things I do for you people...the lack of appreciation I get...

It really is approaching Job-like proportions. Mother's three brothers are gone and her sister, whom she never liked, is in a nursing home, and Mother has expended way too much time and energy on dealing with her in the past few years. Mother is losing her eyesight to macular degeneration and has congestive heart failure. She's also deeply depressed, but I can't get her to talk to a doctor about that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am so sorry, Ginger. That is so dreadful.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Insurance adjuster was here this afternoon. Likely to get bathroom re-drywalled after the roof is fixed. He's also going to ask for coverage on the damage the antenna did on the rood when it came down. Andi and I are going out to get that tarp now...

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I meant to offer sympathy for Laura's mother and for Wallybee. I have many family members of my heart whose troubles hurt me far more than my blood relatives.

Let me echo this. Thinking the post doesn't help if I don't post the post.

Ginger, I'm so sorry.

Ginger, very sorry. And.

Fuck. Cancer.
