Mom visit is going well. Although, as we drive around, she feels the need to read (out loud) *every* sign. "oo, that place is for rent. Oh, that's a seafood store. Ralphs! I have Ralphs down by me..." It's getting annoying. Tomorrow looks like we will be heading to the Aquarium of the Pacific. Maybe do the harbor tour as well. Oh, and while showing her around the university where I work, I grabbed the power supply for laptop.

ION- craxy rightwing Tea Party Uncle just friended me on Facebook. The only thing he has on it, is bitching about the Mosque at ground zero. So I comment that thankfully it's not on ground zero, but a couple blocks away, and also thankfully we live in a country with religious tolerance, and that it helps prove we are as advertised.

Also, it's not a mosque, so much as a multicultural center. I believe it will have a mosque. However, even that given (whatevs), the muslms responsible for it are Sufis, who are held in almost as much contempt by the fundies who would fly planes into buildings as we american devils are.

Weather is not supposed to be random guesswork! Well, forecasts to a certain extent, yes. But current weather? No. It's a factual thing.
So why does:
- wunderground.com say it is currently 62.6
- weather.com say it is 68
- the weatherbug app says it is 80. (with a heat index of 79.)
MY CAR says it is 79.
And, yes, I went out to my car after midnight solely to have it check the temperature for me because I thought the websites were being wrong, wrong, wrong on the internet. If it makes me seem slightly less crazy, I was right?
