Just tryin' a little spicy talk.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I know, right?

I have no problem doing it at all, and when I was first doing it it was to help him catch up. But he's caught up now. And unless my pay is going to reflect the taking on of new-old duties, I'm not doing it.

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah, so terrible. In more ridiculous news, here's another way my life has changed since I am a Buffista. I've been getting Thirtysomething on Netflix, a program that I saw maybe four of back in the day but I rented it because there was this whole big article on Jezebel about it. Anyway, I'm somewhere in the middle of the first season and sitting there thinking that Ellyn and Melissa should be, well, Ellyn/Melissa. Which is a thought I would never have, pre- Bitches. I thought I'd share. Also, there is something faintly Mary Sueish about the way Hope and Michael's friends are always talking amongst themselves about how awesome Hope and Michael are. I find it disquieting. Even though I know y'all do it to me when I'm not here, but you're only human, right?

Timelies!

It's not all doom and gloom, honestly. I was feeling a bit broken last night--too tired and achy, but good things are happening too. I got a nook for my birthday! I can load it with library books (and have), so it's true love.

Kara says to say hello to you too, Jilli.

She's a happy girl. I got to meet one of the creators of Phineas and Ferb online (he's planning to submit one of our first graphic novels), and then her daddy tweeted about her loving RL Stine's Goosebumps Horror Land series, and he tweeted back to tell her hello, so now she thinks her parents are absolutely the coolest on the planet.

I'll try to get pictures of her and Aidan in their first day of school outfits. You guys won't believe how much they've grown.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Deena!!!! Also, {{{Deena}}}. Hoping things improve quickly for you. And happy belated birthday :)

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Deena!

I just went to an arts and crafts fair, and now I'm eating strawberries. The strawberries are unfortunately not local, but the tomatoes on my sandwich at lunch were. I think my next step is to unpack a few boxes of books, then pick one to sit and read in the rocking chair on the porch.

Thanks, Glam! Hey Hil, I saw the pictures of your new place. That porch looks lovely.

Isn't it awesome? He's a really great guy, too. He's on twitter, Matt Nastos, @niftymat. Owen could tweet at him.

The parking meters in my new town are 25 cents for five hours, with a ten hour limit, and the meters are required from 9 to 5. Most of the houses in this neighborhood were built before cars, so none of them have driveways, and everybody parks in the street. According to my neighbors, no one ever actually puts money into the meters, and the police only come around and give tickets a few times a year, and those tickets are $5. What's the point of having the meters in the first place?
