Do I wish I was somebody else right now. Somebody not... married, not madly in love with a beautiful woman who can kill me with her pinkie!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Fuck them. They don't get to hear the humanity-reaffirming story of the wonderful family you and Tim have built and the amazing love that lives in it.

What DJ said.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Skipping a zillion posts. I'm in Pennsylvania now, and I have internet! I also have all my furniture and stuff here, and I've got all the paperwork done for my car, which I'm going to be getting this afternoon.

I had to get a PA drivers license in order to get the car. I think that my favorite thing about the PA drivers manual is that, on the page where it tells you about the signs that tell you to watch out for pedestrians and bicycles, it also tells you about the signs telling you to watch out for horse-drawn carriages.

Steph, I heartily concur that a cockpunch is all your cow-irkers deserve. I'm glad the service and funeral were done to your family's taste and that it provided what comfort it could for you and Tim.

Damn, Hil! Once things got happening, they sure moved fast. I think I missed it, what kind of car did you decide to get?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Right now, he's dealing much better than I am. Which is not to say that he's dancing around in a field of daisies surrounded by puppies. (As far as I know; I don't actually know what he does when he goes to work.) But he said yesterday that he has a good sense of closure, and he's glad she's not struggling to breathe any more, etc.

And all I can think is, I'll never go over to their house again and get to spend time with her, and I can't stand that. I told Tim that last night, and he said, "Well, I had her for 44 years. You were just getting to know her and wanted to know her better. Of course you feel that way."

God, he's a good man.
