Well, it's a nonprofit that was started after Katrina to help organize and unify and provide resources to neighborhood associations. They do a lot of work to figure out what neighborhoods and communities need and then how to provide it.
I am SO EXCITED! It's very much a way to get to know the city, its neighborhoods, the civic underpinnings and local policies and politics, and to actually help all these communities, whatever their particular need is.
