Last post, and I'm out the door. It's supposed to be 100 today. What fresh hell.
The air quality is fucking awful (seriously, it's like, take a respirator before you leave the house, and watch out for the smog monster), and I've been using my inhaler. Which is both ironic and appropriate, I suppose.
I hope today's as easy it can be for you guys, Steph.
I was reading the work rants yesterday thinking ‘gosh, and work’s been going so well for me lately, shouldn’t complain'. AHAHAHAHAH. At half past twelve today I was ‘volunteered’ to give a talk to fifteen interested media types, who may be filming me (?!?!) and taking notes. When is this talk you say? Why, at half two! Why would someone need preparation time for something like this?

{{Teppy and Tim}} You guys have all my sympathy. Standing vigil is hard, but well worth it, I think. I got to do that with my aunt and it made it much easier to let go when we could see how ready to go she was.

There's a certain comfort in post-death rituals. Knowing that you now have to do X, Y, and Z means you can just do them without thinking. Which isn't the worst thing in the world at a time when you really aren't up to thinking.
